A growing line for food assistance
The line of vehicles wrapped around the church and filled the parking lot to overflowing Friday, April 17 at the free food distribution pick up at the First Assembly of God in Checotah. There were 174 families served by over 20 volunteers for over three hours. Out of the 174 families, 47 were new applicants needing food assistance, many due to the coronavirus pandemic that has the world isolated to endure it.
