During a press conference Thursday at the Sharp Center, Keith Riggs’ resignation was announced and he introduced defensive coordinator Adam Gaylor as the new head coach.
Riggs had a 68-21 record and the Trojans reached at least the semifinals in all seven of his seasons at the helm. Before being named head coach, Riggs was an assistant for 15 seasons. Overall, he helped Jenks win nine state titles. Riggs said it was not an easy decision to step down and is “grateful” to all of those involved with the Trojans’ program.
Gaylor has been Jenks’ defensive coordinator the past six seasons. He previously was a head coach at Westmoore for two seasons in 2014-15. Between Jenks and Westmoore, he was Mustang’s DC for three seasons. In 2021, Jenks’ defense allowed only eight points per game en route to a state title.
