Steven Baldridge announces candidacy for Oklahoma State Senate District 8

OKMULGEE – Steven Baldridge, a longtime public servant, and dedicated community leader, has officially announced his candidacy for the Oklahoma State Senate, representing District 8. With a career deeply rooted in service to the Okmulgee community, Baldridge is eager to bring his experience and commitment to the state level.

“I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for Oklahoma State Senate District 8,” said Baldridge. “It has been an honor to serve the people of Okmulgee as Mayor, Vice Mayor, and City Councilman. I am now ready to take the next step and represent our district in the State Senate, advocating for the values and priorities of our community.”

Baldridge’s connection to Oklahoma runs deep. He grew up in Okmulgee, attended local schools, and served six years in the United States Army National Guard as a Computer Technician. After his military service, Baldridge worked with notable companies such as Honeywell, SAIC, IBM, and HP and currently serves at the College of the Muscogee Nation.

Throughout his life, Baldridge has been driven by a commitment to servant leadership— a philosophy that has guided his roles on various boards and organizations, including the Okmulgee County Criminal Jail Authority, Okmulgee Area Development Corporation, Okmulgee Education Foundation, and as a Trustee of the Okmulgee Elks Lodge.

As a candidate for State Senate, Baldridge’s platform focuses on sustainable economic development, improving infrastructure, and ensuring safe, thriving communities across District 8. He emphasizes the importance of supporting local businesses, investing in education, and enhancing public services.

“Running for State Senate is about more than just holding office— it’s about creating positive change,” Baldridge stated. “I am committed to working tirelessly to improve the lives of the people in District 8 and across Oklahoma. But I cannot do it alone. I need the support of our community to build a successful campaign and advocate for the issues that matter most.”

Steven Baldridge’s campaign is seeking support from the community, with a focus on grassroots contributions. Supporters are encouraged to make donations to help fund the campaign’s efforts to reach voters and promote Baldridge’s vision for Oklahoma.

“Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in this campaign,” Baldridge added. “Together, we can make significant strides for District 8 and for Oklahoma as a whole.”
