2025 Women’s Rodeo World Championship to payout a historic $802,000

FORT WORTH, TX – The 2025 Women’s Rodeo World Championship (WRWC) is set to electrify Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas from May 11-14 and 17, bringing together hundreds of the world’s elite female rodeo athletes to compete for a record-breaking $802,000 payout and gold buckle championship glory. The competition will be broadcast exclusively on Cowboy Channel, bringing the accomplishments of the world-class female athletes into homes around the world.

In addition to the record-setting purse, competing athletes will be vying for the title of World Champion, in addition to overall event wins at the Women’s Rodeo World Championship.

Additionally, for the third consecutive season, the WRWC has united with the Ariat Texas Rattlers from the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams league to honor Texas resident cowgirls competing at the 2025 event. The Honorary Texas Rattlers Cowgirl Cash Bonus Award will be presented to the Texas resident cowgirl who earns the most points in any one discipline at the Women’s Rodeo World Championship. These women will be distinguished by a Team Texas patch worn while competing.

The action begins on May 11 with the Tito’s Welcome Gala & Back Number Ceremony, presented by Cowgirl Magazine, at Tannahill’s Tavern and Music Hall, celebrating the qualifying athletes and officially launching the 2025 Women’s Rodeo World Championship. Fans can watch the ceremony LIVE on the Women’s Rodeo Championship Facebook page.

Competition gets underway May 12-14 at Cowtown Coliseum with Round One, Round Two, and Semi-Finals across all disciplines: breakaway roping, barrel racing, and team roping. Each day features a full slate of Pro, Challenger and Limited heats, followed by buckle ceremonies at Tannahill’s honoring the daily winners. On May 13, the WRWC will also spotlight the Top 20 NIRA (National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association) athletes who have climbed the WRWC leaderboard in the Smarty Rodeo Goat Tying Showcase.

The 2025 Women’s Rodeo World Champions will be crowned following the conclusion of the Semi-Finals. The World Champion in each discipline will be the athlete with the most world points earned from April 15, 2024-May 14, 2025.

The excitement reaches a fever pitch on May 17, when the Championship Round takes place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington amid the PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Championship. The Top 7 barrel racers and breakaway ropers along with the Top 6 team roping pairs will compete head-tohead in a final showdown that crowns the event champions in all disciplines. All rounds at Cowtown Coliseum are open to the public with free entry, giving fans the chance to experience the excitement of the WRWC up close. Tickets for the Championship Round on May 17 at AT&T Stadium are on sale now and can be purchased online at PBRWorldFinals.com and SeatGeek.com, or by calling (800) 7321727.
