A Thanksgiving message to our community

A Thanksgiving message to our community
By SHAUNA BELYEU GENERAL MANAGER

As we head into Thanksgiving, we find ourselves reflecting on what makes our community so special. This isn’t just about where we live; it’s all the simple moments that remind us that smalltown life is a gift.

This season always brings a sense of gratitude. Our gratitude starts with you, our readers, subscribers, advertisers, and supporters who keep the McIntosh County Demo- crat strong. Local newspapers survive because communities believe in staying informed and staying connected. When you subscribe, pick up a paper or support the businesses who advertise with us, you’re helping ensure that the stories of this community continue to be told.

We are thankful for our small businesses that pour their hearts into the community, greet customers by name and keep our town vibrant. Shopping local isn’t just convenient; it’s an investment back into the people who invest in the community every day. As a small business ourselves, we are grateful.

Thanksgiving is also a great time to recognize the quiet heroes who serve meals, coach teams, organize events, and lend a hand wherever it’s needed. Small towns thrive because of people who show up with a willing spirit. That is exactly what we have.

As we enter this holiday season, may we all carry that spirit forward. Support local. Shop small. Get involved. Stay connected.

On behalf of the paper ladies, LaDonna and I, and the entire team at the McIntosh County Democrat, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives each week. We are grateful for your trust, your support, and your love for this community.

Wishing you and your family a warm, blessed, and joyful Thanksgiving.
