Lonnie Joe Hogan Sr., a longtime resident of Hitchita, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his home at the age of 85. He was born October 15, 1940, in Arbeka, Oklahoma, to James Lawrence “J.L.” Hogan and Mayzell “Baby” (Patterson) Hogan.
Lonnie worked for many years as a truck driver and genuinely loved the opportunity to see the beauty of the country through his travels. After retiring from the road, he traded his big rig for a golf cart, which he dearly enjoyed riding around the home place.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lawrence Hogan and Mayzell “Baby”

Hogan; his brother, J.L. Hogan; his wife, Patricia Ann Hogan; his granddaughter, Cortney Hames; and his greatgranddaughter, Nova Dixon.
Lonnie is survived by his children: Donna Hames of Benton, Arkansas; Allen Hames and wife Jeannie of Harrison, Arkansas; Lonnie Hogan Jr. and wife Kellie of Hitchita; Galeene Dixon and husband Scott of Okmulgee; and Lynn Terry and husband Allen of Hitchita.
He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Bruce Hogan of Guymon, Oklahoma, and Connie Hogan and wife Rese of Council Hill, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Hitchita Freewill Baptist Church. Interment followed at the Lackey Cemetery in Hitchita.
Services were under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
