Wildcats and Ironheads run to success at Checotah Crossroads Classic Track Meet

The Checotah Wildcats and Eufaula Ironheads had a successful day at the Checotah Crossroads Classic Track meet on Thursday. Bethany won the meet as a team with Beggs placing second, Eufaula third and Checotah ninth overall. Broc Martin of Eufaula placed second in the 100m with Ledger Folsom coming in third place, R’Reon Morrow placing seventh.

Eufaula girls placed sixth in the 4x100m, Checotah placed sixth in the 4x800m, Izzy Ruiter of Checotah placed 8th, Eufaula’s Cambria Klaus 16th and Kylie Pendley 18th in the 100m Hurdles. Eufaula girls also placed 12th in the 4x200m.

The Eufaula boys relay team of Luke Hodgins, Peter Lee, Broc Martin and R’Reon Morrow won the 4x100m. Checotah placed 12th in the event. Checotah placed 4th in the 4×800 and Eufaula 7th. Jaidyn Wolfe of Checotah placed 7th in the 110m Hurdles and 2nd in the 300m hurdles.

Eufaula placed 12th in the 4x200m event and first place in the 4x200m with Checotah placing 5th.

Creed Thomason placed 6th in the 800m run. In the Girls 100 m dash Leah Green of Eufaula placed second. Nikia Carr of Checotah won the Girls 400m dash and Hannah Needham of Eufaula placed 8th.

Hunter Fletcher of Eufaula placed 6th in the 400m dash. In the Girls 200m run Kyndal Smith of Okmulgee placed first, Leah Green 2nd and Nikia Carr 3rd. In the Boys 200m Marcus Lollis of Checotah placed 8th, Peter Lee 12th and Hunter Fletcher 13th.

Eufaula placed 5th in the Girls 4x400m and Checotah placed 5th in the Boys 4x400m.

In the Boys long jump Teaguen Collins of Muldrow won the event with R’Reon Morrow placing 5th and Levi Chapman of Checotah placing 7th.

Checotah’s Nikia Carr placed 4th and Izzy Ruiter 7th placed in the Top 10 of the Girls long jump.
