Alta Lee Bradley
Alta Lee Bradley, Checotah resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in Warner, Oklahoma at the age of 86. She was born on Monday, Dec. 11, 1933 to Robert Lee and Lillian (Perry) Warren in Rush Springs, Oklahoma.
She worked in California at Mohawk Carpet in Merced, running one of the big sewing machines.
In 1982, Alta and Stanley moved to Checotah, Oklahoma. They were married for 66 years.
She liked to sew and loved to travel until health curtailed that activity. She loved her flowers.
The best days of her life were spent with her grandkids who she loved deeply.
Alta was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Debra Lange and Sandra Kelly. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Stanley Bradley; her daughter, Linda Reid; her grandchildren, Steven Lange, Darrell Lange all of Checotah, and April Ann Woodward of Mountainburg, Ark., David Bradley Reid and Kyle Atkins both of Checotah; and eight great-grandchildren. Alta is also survived by her sister, Lela Johnson of Auberry, California, as well as other extended family and a lifetime of friends.
A graveside service celebrating the life of Alta was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Dr. Marcus Dorsey officiating.
Committal prayers and interment followed under the personal direction of John Garrett.
