Monica Hutton

June 9, 1975 - September 30, 2019

Monica Hutton was born on June 9, 1975 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Rosie and Fred Hutton. Monica accepted Christ at an early age.

She attended Checotah Public Schools. Her senior year she moved to Stockton, California where she received her diploma.

Monica moved back to Oklahoma and attended Connors State College.

She worked numerous jobs, then she started her own daycare until her health started to fail. Monica loved family events.

Anybody that knew Monica (Boots) knew she didn’t sugar coat nothing, so if you didn’t want the truth don’t ask her.

Before Monica became a mother of her own, she was one to her nieces and nephews.

Monica battled her sickness for a while, but on September 30, 2019 God said Monica your race is won.

Her loved ones that met her at the finish line were her mother Rosie Hutton, sister Gwen Simon, nephews Theus Martin Pierce, De’onta Fulsom, and Damion Martin Pierce, a great-niece, grandparents, uncles and aunties.

Monica leaves behind her three G’s (as she called them) Jasmine, Shakai and Kyair Hutton, three grandchildren (her heartbeats) A’Niyah Sallis, Leydon Hutton, Peyton Hutton and two more on the way, father Fred Hutton, brothers Larry Burrell and wife Gloria, Jackie Hutton, Joseph Martin and wife Jackie, Manuel Martin and wife Julie, Oliver Martin and wife Carla, and Todd Martin, five sisters Sabrina Edmond Hutton, Wannetta Martin, Donna Walters and husband Ervin, Rosemary McDowell and husband Robert, and Pamela Battle and husband Daniel, nieces, nephews, her 1st cousin more like a sister Ronica Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services celebrating the life of Monica Hutton were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Eastside First Baptist Church with Reverend Bertha Jackson and Reverend Donald E. Brown officiating.

Committal prayers and interment followed in Huttonville Cemetery under the personal direction of John Garrett.

Ronnie Clayton, Deonte’ Sallis, Brian Warrior, Craig McGriff, Billy Dukes, Milton Warrior, and Jake Coleman served as Casket Bearers.

Micheal Carter, Kenden Carter, Laconia Hughes, and Nephews served as Honorary Casket Bearers.

Iletta Lee, Treva Etheridge, Deborah Holiday, Joy Pierce, Keisha Williams and Gaynell Warrior served as Flower Bearers.

Darryl Toliver, Cassandra Jimerson, and nieces served as Honorary Flower Bearers.
