Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a NFC championship as they defeated the Green Bay Packers 31-26. It was a battle of seasoned quarterbacks between Brady and Aaron Rodgers. The Bucs led 21-10 at the half. Rodgers went 33-48 for 346 yards and three touchdowns in the losing effort. Brady went 20-36 for 280 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. The victory pushes the opportunity to win his seventh Super Bowl.
2018 PBR World Champion Kaique Pacheco dominates Pendleton Whisky Invitational

The south Florida heat wasn’t enough to melt “Ice Man” Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil) as the 2018 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) World Champion turned in a perfect 3-for-3 performance on his way to winning the PBR Pendleton Whisky Invitational in Arcadia, Florida on Sunday.
Checotah Crossroad Classic continues to showcase competitive venue

In its seven-year in existence, the Checotah Crossroads Classic continues to have one of the most competitive venues in eastern Oklahoma. In round one, you had schools like rivals Eufaula boys playing Checotah in a battle that went to the final minutes, Bridge Creek girls facing off against the Lady Ironheads and Vian playing host school Lady Wildcats. That action was all in day one.
Moore signs with Coffeyville Community College

Checotah softball player Ciara Moore became the first senior on a team loaded with talent to sign to play collegiate softball. Moore signed with the Red Ravens of Coffeyville Community College. Moore played a key role in the Lady Wildcats’ success for the last four years. The Lady Wildcats battled their way to district runner-up in a district that was the most competitive in eastern Oklahoma.
