The Poteau Pirates used a fast start to top Checotah 12-7. The Wildcats fell behind as the Pirates scored three runs in the first, second, third and fourth innings. The Wildcats tried to make a game of it by scoring four runs in the second inning cutting the score to 6-4 but Poteau would not be denied. Hayden Price hit a homerun in the contest going 2-for-3.
