District 2 County Commissioner Monty Grider alerted motorists who use Texanna Road that there would be a short-term bottleneck ¼ east of U.S. Highway 69 starting Monday, May 3 due to roadwork.

The road will be reduced to one lane between Highway 69 and the railroad tracks, near Dollar General.

Grider said county workers will be replacing a tinhorn, a project that should take four days or less.

“Hopefully we will be done before Friday (May 7), barring any issues that might come up,” he said.
