Law enforcement joins Domestic Violence Awareness Walk

Women In Safe Home Inc. (WISH) Outreach Advocate Kendra Russell and Elle Mitchell with Muscogee Nation Family Violence Prevention Program teamed up with local newspapers, the McIntosh County Democrat and the Indian Journal for their 2nd annual Domestic Violence Awareness Walk on Friday, Oct. 29 in Checotah as several law enforcement officers came to show their support. Among the officers were McIntosh County Sheriff Kevin Ledbetter, Checotah Chief of Police Darren Glover, Checotah PD officer Casey Fairchild and Checotah PD Chaplain Bud Shackelford. Mayor Daniel Tarkington also showed up at the walk to show his support.
