A real farmer in the making
Maybe he was destined to be a ?farmer? after his mother named him Leonard Farmer Hill, but Hill saw the opportunity of gardening using plastic culture a little over two and a half years ago and decided he wanted to become a real farmer. Plasticulture is simply using lightweight plastic or mulch to cover the seed bed in order to control the soil temperature, retain moisture, and retard weeds and insects. Plasticulture also refers to row covers and the use of plastic greenhouses.
