Murphy gets life in decades old murder case

Patrick Dwayne Murphy, 53, of Vernon, in McIntosh County, was sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty in August 2021 by a federal jury of second degree murder in Indian Country, murder in Indian Country in perpetration of kidnapping and kidnapping resulting in death.
