How selfish or selfless have Americans become in this present world? Recently I have found myself pondering this very thought. Many times I know my own family has struggled making it from paycheck to paycheck, but I wonder how often we really think about true poverty. Yes, though there have been times we have skipped a meal or eaten leftovers or crackers and cheese because the bank account was low or empty. But do we understand real poverty? No, because even at our lowest we still had items in our pantry and some food in our freezer. Did we have everything that we wanted or needed? No. Some medicines we couldn?t afford this past week.
