Locals shine light on Suicide Awareness

This past Saturday local professionals from OKAWARE, OK21CCLC, Checotah Fire Department, Green Country Behavioral Health Services, Checotah Health and Wellness Center and Sequoyah County Health Department all came together to shine a light on the seriousness of suicide. The group made it a family event because they know suicide affects everyone. They even had a color walk to bring awareness, with neon colors that boldly symbolized the group saying to those in mental crisis, ?I see you. I hear you. I?m here for you.?
