During two June meetings of the Checotah City Council, one general meeting and one special meeting, Councilman Jay Hayes motioned and Councilman Ronnie Brinsfield seconded the renewal of the evidenc.com licenses, storage and upgrade of the police department’s body cameras in the amount of $48,562.50. The motion was carried unanimously by Councilman Earnest Myers, Councilman Joey Marion, Council man William Wiles, Councilman Tony Fields, Councilwoman Jodi Greenleaf and Councilman Mike Key.
The following properties were also declared nuisances with dilapidated homes, buildings or garages: 403 W. McIntosh 609 W. McIntosh 300 Block of W. Race St.
302 E. McIntosh The purchase of a 2013 Johnston VT800 Street Sweeper for $69,995 was also approved during a special meeting along with budget amendments for the General Fund.
Motion was carried unanimously by council.
Also voted on:
• Ordinance #591 for adopting the 2018 International Code Council code books
• Approval of the City of Checotah budget for FY 2023-2024
• Resolution Policy for Lapsing of Appropriations at end of FY 2022-2023 for City of Checotah
• Awarding bid to NDR for roofing Jim Lucas Library and Checotah Senior Citizens Building
• Certificate of Deposit 15996 located in Peoples National Bank
• Agreements made with Geosafe, McIntosh County 911, True North Mapping and Solutions
Vice mayor, Mike Key, was also authorized as a signer on all bank accounts.
