Two injured on I-40
Two Rogers, Ark., residents were injured in a single- vehicle accident 10 miles east of Checotah on Interstate 40 early Sunday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The OHP said an eastbound 2002 Toyota 4-Runner for an unknown reason ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The unidentified driver, a 61-year-old male, was admitted to St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee in fair condition with a head injury.
An unidentified, 28-year-old female passenger was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where she was listed in guarded condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external and arms and leg injuries.
