Lion Darren Armstrong is announcing last call for golf teams to sign up for the 5th Annual Checotah Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament that is only one week away.
The tournament will be a four-man scramble with cash prizes, door prizes and more. It is scheduled to be held on Friday, September 29 at Fountainhead Creek Golf Course with registration starting at 8 a.m. and a shot gun start at 9 a.m.
Lunch will immediately follow the competition.
“Currently we have ten teams signed up and we are looking forward to some friendly competition and some great fellowship,” Armstrong said. “Each year we appreciate all our golf hole sponsors, team players and our Lions Club members who cook and volunteer their time for this fun-filled event.”
All proceeds go towards the Skeet Frame Memorial Scholarship Fund for area high school seniors.

The Checotah Lions Club meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at noon at the Methodist Missions Hall and is dedicated to serving their local community.
