A little over a month after resigning from the Eufaula City Council due to health reasons, Nancy Mouser died.
The 66-year-old, life-long resident of Eufaula passed away after losing a battle with cancer on Sept. 21 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
An obituary may be found on page A7 of this issue.
Mouser, former vice mayor, was appointed to the Council’s Ward II seat in May, 2019, after incumbent Roger Barton announced he was retiring.
Ironically, last month Barton was appointed to the seat vacated by Mouser’s resignation.
In 2011 she ran for mayor. She lost by a single vote to Selina Jayne-Dornan. Mouser objected and a district judge ordered another election, which she lost by four votes.
