Lights on Eufaula to focus on Christmas movies

KOTV’s Lori Fullbright will be Grand Marshal

Christmas Movies is the theme of the third annual Lights on Eufaula, sponsored by Vision Eufaula.

The event will take place on Friday, Nov. 17 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with lights on at 5:45 p.m.

Merchants who participate should choose a Christmas movie and decorate their business inside and out in that movie theme. Uniqueness and creativity are encouraged.

Stores should play holiday music, offer refreshments and promote sales and specials.

Merchants also are encouraged to stay open until 8 p.m.

Each participating store will have specials and fun.

Main Street will be detoured for live music, trolley rides and fun activities for all ages.

KOTV Lori Fullbright will be the Grand Marshall.

Follow Vision Eufaula’s Facebook page for updates of participating stores, sales and events, from free wine tastings to Whoville for the kids!

Lake Dog will have 50% off select items and specials! Lake Dog’s theme will be Charlie Brown Christmas.

Among others, businesses participating in the event include:

• Legacy On Main Street will present Welcome to Whoville, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pictures with the Grinch. Grinch cookies & punch. Grinchy adult beverages available for purchase. Coloring/craft table for kid festival game.

• Lake Dog. Movie theme: A Charlie Brown Christmas. The store will have a selfie picture station with a red doghouse and all. And it will offer 50 percent off on select dog toys (collar lights, rope toys, Latex toys, plush toys). Free treat for visiting dogs. Discounts on Northwest Naturals, Zignature. Inception, Pure Vita dog food and Whimzees dental treats.

• K-MACS, which will be offering 10 percent off the entire store, excluding hair care because that is 40 percent off. Also, each customer will receive a ticket for a chance to win a large gift basket. Stop by for some sweet hot chocolate, treats & reindeer games. Christmas Movie theme: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

• Fox Place, home décor, boutique, gifts, gourmet items. Theme: A Christmas Story. Stop by Fox Place during Lights on Eufaula to receive 20 percent off on handbags from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. All shoppers will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate.

• All Aboard The Polar Express from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are free. Kids receive a free polar express goodie box. Board at Our Favorite Place, 127 N. Main St. Sponsored by Eufaula Lakeshore Realty and 9 West Ranch Beef.

• Our Favorite Place. Theme: Elf. Wine tasting with On The Lamb Winery and try a sample of Watonga cheese. Also, other specials.
