Texanna Lady Crafters
By November meeting SUE TAYLOR-LOUDERMILK TEXANNA LADY CRAFTERS

We held our business meeting on Nov. 17. President Karen Franz led the pledge to the flag. Claudia did our minutes and Lisa gave the treasurer report. All were approved.

We wanted to wish our ladies with birthdays in December Happy Birthday: Deana Carter 12/9, Ruby Blackwell 12/26, and Ms. Sandy Bethell 12/26.

Our Christmas party will be on 12/15. Bring a Christmas ornament for the gift swap. We will also be doing our Christmas Picture that day. If you want a different picture in our directory, please contact Lisa Smart by 12/15/23. We will have our Secret Sister reveal and new names drawn for 2024.

If you want in or out of SS’s let me know. Everyone needs to sign up for a Christmas dish to bring. Also, all dues should be in by Dec. 15.

We will be voting on new Officers at our next meeting for 2024.

We had a ton of new ideas shown at our “Show and Tell” part of our meeting, and they are amazing. Sandy Bethell brought a new crochet dog collar, Diane Hanson had new types of Diamond art, Helen Tremain made a new blue and white wreath, and tons more new items. Go to our Facebook page to view everything.

Our soft scrubbies made by Ava Hutchins and our little “I Love You” boxes sold out last Friday but we are making new ones as we speak.

Our door prize winners were Deena, Cat, and Bonnie. They got Thanksgiving plaques.

I am proud to announce the Texanna Lady Crafters have teamed up with VFW Post #8798 and Cheryl Campbell to create the Inspirational Stones that are put in the big stone circles in front of the Muskogee VA Hospital. If you are a Veteran and go to the VA in Muskogee you know where I am talking about. These stones are free for the taking and several of the patients will put one in their pocket when they need a little something to make it thru their visit to the hospital. I am so proud of our group for doing this.

Are you needing to get away from hubby or the kids for a few hours a week or once a month, have you got any talent or even just a little, do you want to visit with really wonder ladies, eat some good food, play some games, laugh a lot, then you need to come join us? We are always looking for new talent and friends. If you have retired here and just fell in love with the folks in Checotah, Eufaula or the surrounding area, come join us with this crazy bunch of girls and I say girls because that’s what we act like. I promise you; you won’t find better fellowship, food, or friends than here.

I also want to send out prayers to our Shannon, Marie, Becki, hope God holds your hand and gets you back up and back to us soon. We miss you.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is ready to go shopping for Christmas. Speaking of shopping, I hope you drop by our store and give us a shot at filling some of your Christmas needs. 100% of our net proceeds go back to the community for our firefighters, children, and police agencies. Help us help them.

Did you know we have a Facebook page? Go by and look at all the new stuff we are making.

We are located at 419098 Texanna Road, look for the little green alien in front of our store, come by and see us. We are open on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Look for the Butterfly board. Stop and take a picture with your family. It’s free.
