‘Golden Christmas’ benefit for local nursing home

A “Golden Christmas” benefit to get gift items for Checotah Nursing and Rehabilitation is being sponsored by the Checotah Art Guild.

Local artists are joining with the community to help make it a brighter holiday for the residents at the home. Anyone who can help by donating during the Christmas season is encouraged to drop off unwrapped items to the Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery at 116 N. Broadway in Checotah by Dec. 20.

Ladies items needed in all sizes: Shirts Pants Jackets Bath robes Sweat suits Socks Slippers Face/Hand Cream Body Wash Perfume Toothbrush/paste Baby dolls or Stuffed animals Art supplies Room decor Soft cookies, snacks, juice Crossword Puzzles CD’s (classic, country, etc.)
