The McIntosh County Republican Party is preparing to host upcoming precinct meetings as well as our County Convention, County Chair Lynelle Medley announced.

Dates, times and locations will be announced very soon.

“We are also preparing to assist people with absentee ballots, including getting notaries appointed, so if you need assistance with this process or need to change your political affiliation or register to vote, please text 918.770.1683 or email MclntoshGOP@ mailto:toshGOP@gmail.com gmail.com ,” she said The next meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at the Checotah Library at 6 p.m. “The main speakers will be Mark and Jalise Middleton, who were arrested by the FBI on April 21, 2021 after attending the Save America Protest in DC on January 6,” she said.

The Jalises are now facing seven misdemeanors and two felony charges with potential prison sentences of 50 years .

“In addition, we will be hosting two of our local candidates — Jerry Bumgarner, who is running for Eufaula school board as well as Sheriff Kevin Ledbetter will both be on hand to answer questions,” she said.
