Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is spreading across Oklahoma and coming to McIntosh County. Save the Date for the launch event from 1-3 p.m., Wednesday, January 16 at the Jim Lucas Checotah Public Library.
During the launch party, families can enroll their children and then receive their first books. The reading program is a great way to get books into the hands of children, from birth to five years and help develop a love for reading early in their lives.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, highquality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income. After launching in 1995, the program grew quickly. First books were only distributed to children living in Sevier County, Tennessee where Dolly grew up.
