Chili Cook-Off coming
16th Annual Checotah Chili Cook-Off benefitting the Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery is set for Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Checotah Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. There will be an auction, gun raffle and door prizes. For more information call 405-570-3569.
CLPS meetings at the Katy Depot
The Checotah Landmark Preservation Society conducts its monthly meeting the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Katy Depot on Paul Carr Drive. Those interested in joining CLPS are encouraged to come. Volunteers are needed. Contact Jerri Holder at 918-473-2070.
Lions Club meets biweekly
The Checotah Lions Club general meetings are at noon on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. Least of These Food Ministry has monthly distribution The Least of These Food Ministry offers free grocery distributions to anyone in Checotah or the surrounding area who struggles with food insecurities. Participants must provide ID and proof of residency. Grocery distribution is the third Friday of each month at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God located at 401 N. Broadway.
