The Community Culture Church in Eufaula will present its annual Night to Shine event on Friday, Feb. 9 beginning at about 5 p.m.
The event is part of the Tim Tebow Prom for People with Special Needs.
“We want to invite the community to come out and be Paparazzi for our Honored Guests. We want to invite the Community to line the Red Carpet in front of High Street Coffee and the streets in front of the Eufaula Post office and Stites. Bring positive signs, glow sticks, and lots of cheers. We will have lots of pom poms to hand out for the kids as well,” said spokesperson Junie McKinney.
Please arrive by 5 p.m.
Limos will be driving from the Community Center around the block by the post office and back to Community Culture Church from 5:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Night to Shine is made possible by hundreds of volunteers who participate to make the prom night an unforgettable experience for the guests.
Several local churches partner to make the event a night to remember.
“Night to Shine is an unforgettable experience centered on God’s love for people with special needs ages 14 and older,” noted spokesperson Junie McKinney.
The Guests first go to the Eufaula Community Center to have their hair done and makeup applied. Then they go through a flower station, stop at a photo booth and get in line for the limo ride to the Community Culture Church, where they dine and dance.
At the end of the night each Guest is crowned King or Queen of the Prom.
“This is important because this is how they are viewed by God!” McKinney said.
Night to Shine is a worldwide movement with over 700 host Churches around the world.
