Checotah resident Joey Archer, 58, pled guilty last week to charges stemming from a domestic abuse allegation filed on Jan. 30.

The charges include domestic abuse – assault and battery; disrupt/prevent/interrupt emergency telephone call; and obstructing an officer Special District Judge Brian McLaughlin gave Archer suspended sentences on each of the charges and ordered him to attend anger management and batterers treatment classes and to have no contact with the victim of the attack.
