Easter Sunday Comes Late
East Sunday this year will fall on April 20, which is considerably later than recent years. While Easter has been known to have fallen as late as April 25, it has been many years since it was celebrated as late in the season as will be the case this year.
This explanation lies in the fact that Easter is always the first Sunday after the full moon on or after March 21.
