Street to be named Emmy’s Way

A special ceremony to honor the late Emmy Stidham will take place Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. at the Katy Depot, located at 100 Paul Carr Drive in Checotah.

Ms. Emmy, a longtime community leader and Checotah historical advocate, will be honored by changing Enterprise Avenue to Emmy’s Way and the signage will be revealed following the ceremony.

The community is invited to come join in the celebration as dignitaries, family and friends gather to remember the legacy and the lifetime work of such an incredible lady who meant so much to Checotah.
