The Eufaula Lady Ironheads (6-4-1) defeated Vian, 7-4 Thursday at the Sallisaw Softball Tournament. Senior Allie Anderson went 3-for-4 to lead Eufaula at the plate.
scoring Jaxon Lange. Senior Draven Gragg was on the losing end of the pitcher’s duel, lasting 7.1 innings and scattering five hits with both runs allowed. He also recorded eight strikeouts.
In game two the Ironheads bested Spiro 8-6. Spiro jumped out first with two runs in the first inning and added another in the second. The Ironheads answered with a run of their own in the third inning, added three runs in the fourth and four runs in the fifth to take an 8-3 lead.
The Bulldogs tried to rally in the seventh with three runs scored but came up short as they lost 8-6. Hayden Robinson earned the win, allowing three hits and one earned run over 6.1 innings with four strikeouts. Jaxon Lange led Eufaula at the plate going 2-for-4 with 4 RBIs, Carson Luna went 2-for-3 and Hayden Robinson was 1-for-4 with an RBI.
