A special street dedication ceremony will take place Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. at the Katy Depot, located at 100 Paul Carr Drive in Checotah. Several dignitaries, including Rep. Neil Hayes, Sen. Roger Thompson and Mayor Daniel Tarkington, will honor the late Emmy Stidham.

Ms. Emmy was a longtime community leader and Checotah historical advocate, and the City of Checotah will change Enterprise Avenue to Emmy’s Way in her honor.

The community is invited to come join in the celebration with friends and family as they give tribute to an irreplaceable citizen of Checotah.
