This poor litter of pups was abandoned at Atwood’s but they are currently with a Checotah police officer who is trying to rehome them. Abandonment is a misdemeanor crime in OK and charges can be brought against any person who intentionally abandons any domestic animals along any private or public roadway. Volunteers with Paws N Claws-Eufaula are working to bring awareness to abandonment issues and animal abuse in McIntosh County and have rescued and rehomed almost 30 dogs since January.
