Muscogee Nation to build $60 million casino in Eufaula
By JERRY FINK MANAGING EDITOR,

Estimated completion date Nov. 2025

The Muscogee (Creek) Nation is expanding its gaming empire with a casino/hotel in Eufaula.

A ground-breaking ceremony has been set for 11 a.m. June 13 on the 10-acre site at 1045 Birkes Road.

The approximately $60 million project will include a 20,500 square foot gaming and entertainment facility and a three-story, 46 room hotel and a full-service restaurant, Lakeside Bar and Grill.

According to a press release the targeted opening is November 2025.

Speakers at the event will be Principal Chief David W. Hill, Second Chief Del Beaver, Speaker of the House Randall Hicks, Muscogee (Creek) Nation Gaming Enterprise (MNGE) CEO Pat Crofts and MNGE Andy Langston.

According to information from the tribe’s website the Nation currently owns, and the Gaming Operations Board (GOAB) manages, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Casino – Eufaula, which is in the vicinity of six other competing casinos within a one-hour drive.

The existing Eufaula Casino, at 806 Forest Ave., opened in 2004. It has more than 240 electronic games. City Manager Jeb Jones said he believes the tribe will close that casino and transfer the employees to the new facility.

There is also a Creek Nation casino in Checotah at 830 N. Broadway, which opened in 1989. It has a 12,000 square foot gaming space and features 292 The other tribally owned casinos include: Creek Nation Casino Bristow, Creek Nation Casino Holdenville, Muscogee Creek Nation Casino in Muskogee, Creek Nation Casino Okemah, One Fire Casino and River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa.

According to the tribe’s website concerning the Eufaula Casino Project, “in March 2021 a feasibility study showed the market analysis for a new casino and hotel in Eufaula would provide both superior visibility and access in comparison to the existing casino and will boost current profits.”
