First Family FCU opens new Atoka location

First Family Federal Credit Union (FFFCU) recently announced the brick-and-mortar expansion of their membership into Atoka County with the opening of their new Atoka location at 117 S. Mississippi Ave. FFFCU is a full-service financial institution offering products such as savings accounts, money market, certificates of deposit, IRAs, free checking accounts with in-house instant issue debit cards, a mobile banking app, text banking, e-statements, free electronic bill pay options, direct deposit, consumer loans, home mortgages, fixed rate VISA credit cards, free teen checking accounts, and much more, said David Dykes, FFFCU President and CEO.

Their member region includes Okmulgee, Okfuskee, McIntosh, Hughes, Pittsburg, Haskell, Latimer, Coal, Atoka, and Pushmataha counties, he said.

“It’s an incredible honor to have the opportunity to serve the community that I have been a part of for so many years. Managing First Family Federal Credit Union is more than a job—it’s a chance to give back to the people and families who’ve supported me along the way. I’m committed to ensuring that every member experiences the trust, service, and care that makes our hometown special,” Atoka Branch Manager Connie Hamilton said.

“At its most basic level, a credit union is people pooling their money to provide each other with affordable loans—it is literally people helping people,” Dykes said. “This is why FFFCU stands apart from the rest. Because credit unions empower people, wherever they are in the world or life, to take control of their financial future.”

“It is a privilege and honor for First Family FCU to serve all who reside, work or worship in Atoka County. We have great plans to serve Atoka County residents well into the future,” Dykes said. “One of the advantages of credit unions is that we are a financial cooperative. Each and every member is not only a member; they are an owner of the credit union. We pay our owners back by providing lower interest rates on loans, higher rates of return on deposits and lower fees and charges on services.”

The Atoka branch opened in November, marking First Family’s seventh location, in addition to locations in Checotah, Henryetta, McAlester, and Okmulgee. For more information, visit www.firstfamilyfcu. com or find them on Facebook.
