A 25-year-old Houston man working on his broken-down vehicle on U.S. 69 was struck and killed Thursday night, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Dead is Brandon Antonio Venitez-Sanchez.

The OHP report stated that the victim was working on his car on the shoulder of the highway one mile south of Shady Grove Road in Pittsburg County at about 10:30 p.m. when he stepped into the traffic lane and was struck by a vehicle driven by Jasmine White, 25, of Savanna.
