3x9 Through the Close to Home Fishing Program, there are 46 ponds and small lakes open to the public statewide, offering quality fishing opportunities to anglers of all skill levels. Agreements with multiple municipalities around Oklahoma make all of this possible. Each pond is intensively managed and receives extra attention when it comes to fish stocking, harvest, special events, angler access, and water quality. Don’t forget, anglers under the age of 18 do not need a state fishing license! Be sure to check city regulations as well.
