The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from May business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from May 16 to 31 and estimated sales from June 1 to 15.
Statewide, the disbursement of $203,937,980 sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $1,214,846 from the $202,723,134 distributed to the cities and towns in July last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and towns was $34,131,944 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared in a $35,647,846 sales tax disbursement and a $7,228,830 use tax disbursement.
