Eufaula head football coach Larry Newton has seen his share of Summer Pride workouts with over 30 years in coaching. However, he had something very special to boast about… perfect attendance.
“I’m super proud of the following young men. They have a perfect attendance so far for Summer Pride workouts not missing a single event yet,” Newton said.
Coaches hear all types of reasons and excuses for not making summer workouts such as being out of town, vacations, work and so forth. So for a student athlete not to miss a workout in the summer is special.
“Off season training and conditioning is just as important if not more important than in season workouts,” Former University of Oklahoma quarterback Thomas Lott said.
