Whole Hawg Days on the horizon

Get ready for another funfilled weekend as the 41st Annual Whole Hawg Arts & Crafts Festival prepares to get underway, Friday and Saturday, July 25-26.

The festival will consist of Arts & Crafts, a rodeo, parade, BBQ cook-off, classic car show, poker run, live music and more activities for all ages.

The heart of the festivities is the BBQ Cook-off on Saturday, featuring some of the top chefs in town.

Posey Park will be the site of the Eufaula Band Boosters Arts & Crafts Festival from 8 a.m. to dark on both days. To sign up for a booth at the event contact Amber Singleton at 918-3608429 or email prideofeufaulawholehawg@ gmail.com.

Friday evening there will be a Whole Hawg parade on Main Street; A classic car show will be held Saturday at Kiwanis Park, south of Posey Park.

This year the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce takes over the rodeo, which will be held at the McIntosh County Fair Grounds south of Eufaula Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 24-26, with main action starting each evening at 8 p.m. Mutton Busting starts at 7:30 p.m. each day.

This year the rodeo will be produced by S3 Pro Rodeo out of Washington, Oklahoma.

Poker run first prize this year is $20,000, based on 500 entries.

Register for the run on Friday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Chamber office, 301 N. Main. The run will be Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon at Xtreme Marina.

The Whole Hawg Day Parade will take place Friday at 6 p.m. Line up at the high school at 5 p..m.
