A boater crashed into the Tenkiller Lake dam shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Maritime Enforcement Division.

The operator of the 2009 Legend, Connor Upton, 27, of Brighton, Colorado, was not injured, investigators said.

However, passenger, Trey Snell, 27, of Parkhill, was transported by Survival Flight to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted in good condition with leg injuries.

A second passenger, Douglas Stratton, 25 ,of Cookson, was not injured.

The OHP report said the vessel operator ran into the dam due to poor visibility and being unfamiliar with the lake.
