McIntosh County caregiver support group and resource meeting

Caregivers in McIntosh County who are supporting individuals aged 60 or older — or those aged 55 and older caring for a relative child under 18 — often face unique challenges.

Many are navigating the emotional and physical demands of caring for loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or Parkinson’s disease. Feelings of stress, isolation, and uncertainty about available resources are common.

Recognizing these needs, the McIntosh County Caregiver Support Group invites caregivers to attend a monthly support and resource meeting.

The next session will be held on Tuesday, July 22 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Under One Roof, 107 E. McKinley Ave., Eufaula.

Meetings will continue on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

This gathering offers a welcoming space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and access valuable information and support services.

For more information, please contact Alysa Kinnell or Tashanda Myers, Social Services Specialists with the EODD Area Agency on Aging, at 918-682-7891, or call the Caring Assistance Line at 1-800-211-2116.
