Get a free pig nose and type a story on a 1938 Typewriter at Whole Hawg Day and make history—one keystroke at a time!
On Saturday, July 26, during Eufaula’s Whole Hawg Day, the Eufaula Area Arts Council and The Consignment Store at 110 South Main invite you to a one-of-a-kind experience that’s fun for all ages. In return for helping complete the story about Once Upon a Time, with a few words or a sentence, you will receive a FREE PIG NOSE.
If you have never typed on a real vintage typewriter, this is your chance. Come tap out a sentence or two on a classic 1938 Underwood manual typewriter—no screens, no plugs, just the satisfying clickclack of keys and the old-school thrill of ink hitting paper.
In exchange for your creative contribution to our community story, “Once Upon a Time…” you’ll receive a FREE pig nose. Because what’s Whole Hawg Day without a little pig-inspired fun?
This isn’t just a quirky activity—it’s a nod to history. Typewriters like this one revolutionized the modern workplace, especially for women. They helped launch small businesses, opened doors to careers, and even played a role in the women’s suffrage movement.
So bring your curiosity, your kids, or just your inner writer, and join us for a nostalgic hands-on moment. Whether you’re 8 or 80, you’ll leave with a smile—and a pig nose to prove it.
Find us at The Consignment Store on Main Street, and make sure your Whole Hawg Day includes a little clicketyclack magic and a pig nose.
