The 41st Annual Whole Hawg Arts & Crafts Festival kicks off Thursday, July 24, with the first Whole Hawg Rodeo hosted by the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce. Friday and Saturday will be filled with activities, including a parade on Saturday; Arts & Crafts; BBQ cook-off; classic car show; poker run; live music and more. Rodeo – Thurs – Sat.
For the first time, the Whole Hawg Days rodeo is being hosted by the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce and is being produced by S3 Pro Rodeo out of Washington, Oklahoma.
The rodeo will be held at the McIntosh County Fairgrounds Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. each night. Admission is $10 adults. No charge for 6-year-olds and under.
Mutton busting takes place each night before the rodeo at 7:30 p.m., July 24, 25 and 26. Contestants must be 8 years of age or younger. Only 20 contestants per night. First come, first served. Signups are each night. Entry fee is $25.
Parents must sign an acknowledgment and liability release.
The rodeo will include breakaway roping; tie-down roping steer wrestling; team roping healer; team roping header; barrel racing; bareback riding; saddle bronc riding and bull riding.
This is an open pro rodeo with add on money of $1,000.
The Canadian Valley Rangerettes will perform.
Parade – Friday at 6 p.m.
The Whole Hawg Days Parade starts at 6 p.m. Friday, July 2 Floats line up at the high school at 5 p.m. for the march north on Main Street.

Car Show at Kiwanis Park
A classic car show will be held Saturday at Kiwanis Park, south of Posey Park. Cars from all over compete for bragging rights and trophies.
Cook-off – Saturday The heart of the festivities is the BBQ Cook-off on Saturday, featuring some of the top chefs in town.
Cooking may begin Friday night, but cookers must be in place by 8 a.m. Saturday.
Judging will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Community Center, 121 High St. Judging is based on pork only (no sauce), side dish and dessert.
People’s Choice Award judging takes place at the Community Center between 10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m.
First division winners will take home $1,200 first place; $500 second place; and $225 third place.
Best Ribs winner will receive $200.
People’s Choice Award winner will receive $200.

For $10, you can select your choice for the best meats, side dishes and desserts during the 41st Annual Whole Hawg Days BBQ Cook-Off.
The public can sample the competitors’ creations from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community Center on High Street.
Poker Run – Saturday Feelin’ lucky?
Register for the Jokers Wild Poker Run for the chance to win $20,000 (based on 500 entries).
Sign up on Friday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce office, 301 N. Main St. or, sign up Saturday, July 26, from 7 a.m. to noon at Xtreme Marina.
Entry fee is $225. Includes Whole Hawg t-shirt, free Hawg sandwich and more.
