The McIntosh County Health Department is proud to recognize Kim Woodruff as part of its “Community Health Champions” campaign.
A dedicated advocate for community wellness and collaboration, Woodruff is being honored for her lifelong commitment to serving vulnerable populations and supporting frontline service providers throughout McIntosh County.
Woodruff is the Executive Director of Under One Roof, a nonprofit organization dedicated to “helping the helpers.”
With a career spanning over two decades at Under One Roof, Woodruff joined the organization in 1997, initially serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors before stepping into the role of Executive Director in 2011.
Under Woodruff’s leadership, Under One Roof has become a vital resource in the community, providing office space for various social service organizations under one roof, making it easier for individuals to access the assistance they need without traveling to multiple locations. The organization also operates the 2nd Chances Thrift Shop and includes the Homeless Outreach Program of Eufaula (HOPE), which offers essential services to individuals facing homelessness or emergencies in the area.
“Kim Woodruff represents the best of community leadership,” said Dr. Rodger Cutler, Community Engagement and Health Planning Manager for the McIntosh County Health Department. “Her work with Under One Roof and her continued service on the county Board of Health exemplify how one person’s vision and dedication can transform access to care and support systems.”
Before her work at Under One Roof, Woodruff was a Child Development Specialist with the McIntosh County Health Department for 18 years. During that time, she actively volunteered at Under One Roof as part of the Health Department’s outreach efforts. Currently, she serves on the county Board of Health.
Woodruff has two sons, Nick and Danny, two precious grandchildren, Henry and Madi, and resides in Eufaula with their diverse collection of animals, embodying a nurturing spirit both at home and in her professional life.
