Former Checotah Wildcat receiver Elijah Thomas has made his mark in Norman. The freshman receiver will more than likely see playing time during the 2025 season on special teams or offense. In what most media outlets say is the best receiving corp at Oklahoma in years, Thomas has made his presence known to the Sooners’ new offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and head coach Brent Venables.

Thomas has a God-given athleticism that separates himself from others. He is super fast, strong and has the ability to make big plays downfield. I believe that if he stays healthy and makes Norman his home, Thomas may be the next Checotah Wildcat to make it to the National Football League.
