McIntosh County GOP news
By LYNELLE MEDLEY CHAIRMAN

The county committee of McIntosh County GOP is excited to announce a few of the events and endeavors we have been working on.

First, our next regular monthly meeting on August 28. We will have Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer speaking about his involvement with the “White House Faith Office” as well as his work as founder of Pastors for Trump.

You may remember Jackson as the candidate who ran against Sen. James Lankford. Though I have not heard him speak on this topic, I can assure you he will have lots of information for “We the People.”

I hope you will join us next Thursday night to hear him speak.

Now, on to our plans we have been working on all summer.

First, we will be having a cookout at Nichols Point next month on September 25 in lieu of our regular meeting.

All members are invited to attend and please bring your family.

This will not be a time of political waxing (or waning), but instead will be a time of bonding with our family and friends.

The festivities will start at 6:30 p.m.

You are welcome to bring a side dish, drinks. or dessert, but this is certainly not necessary!

We are seeking a conservative individual around the ages of 17-21 years old who would be interested in applying for our Youth Internship Position for Public Relations Director for the McIntosh County GOP.

Upon completion of this internship, the McIntosh County GOP will award a $500 stipend towards his/her college tuition or to a non-profit conservative organization of the individual’s choice.

If you are interested, please text us at 918617-6124 for the application. We are excited about this new direction and hope we can find someone who is just as excited as we are!

McIntosh County GOP has joined forces with Rogers County GOP to host our annual Patriot Retreat which will be held at Beaver’s Bend State Park the weekend of Oct. 31 – Nov. 2.

The training presented at the retreat is geared towards active GOP members who desire to broaden their influence within their own counties.

On the other hand, it is possible to attend the retreat and not participate in the training.

More details forthcoming soon or you may text us.

Also, we are unveiling our brand new Mc-Intosh County GOP Welcome Wagon.

We will be reaching out to newly registered Republican voters in the county and bringing them a swag bag of information and goodies to introduce ourselves.

Last, but not least, we will be teaming up with Pittsburg County GOP to host a massive statewide election forum in April, 2026 in McAlester with a gubernatorial forum as the finale.

More details on that as we get closer.

Please feel free to contact us regarding any of the above or better yet, we’d love to see you at our meeting on Thursday, August 28, with Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer.

Remember, everyone is welcome and we always have some light refreshments and snacks.
