OKLAHOMACITY– Rep. Tim Turner, R-Kinta, issued the following statement after talking with Oklahoma Department of Transportation officials Friday regarding reconstruction of the bridge on State Highway 71 at State Highway 2 over Lake Eufaula after a washout.
“ODOT has advised that the bid process will begin in October, and they hope to finalize the job in February 2026. This project is more complicated than expected. They understand the effects the washout has had on the many citizens that normally travel this road daily and the extended travel time that has resulted from this event. But again, ODOT is working diligently to bid this job and get repairs completed and the road reopened.”
Rep. Tim Turner, a Republican, represents House District 15 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. His district includes Haskell County and portions of McIntosh, Muskogee, Le Flore and Pittsburg counties.
