OSU’s Fire Protection Society and Firefighter Combat Challenge Team, along with the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, will host the 2025 Memorial 9/11 Stair Climb on Sept. 6 inside Boone Pickens Stadium.
Participants, including OSU students, faculty and staff, as well as firefighters from the surrounding area and across the country, will climb the equivalent of 110 stories in honor of firefighters and emergency personnel who responded at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at OSU symbolizes the 110 floors of the World Trade Center, representing the daunting task that first responders undertook on that fateful day. The event invites participants to walk, jog or run the equivalent number of steps to honor the courage, sacrifice and selflessness of the men and women who gave everything.
The FPS has been hosting the stair climb since 2017, with the event growing larger each year.
Funds raised benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
